I grew up eating fried rice almost every morning. It was usually made from last night’s leftover rice, fried with a bit of oil and a ton of garlic. Nowadays, I make fried rice when my time is limited or I simply forgot to thaw out the meat. I usually eat it for lunch. You can never go wrong with the amount of ingredients you can add in.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cup cooked rice, 1/2 cup mushrooms, 5-6 garlic cloves, 1 tbsp furikake (optional), cooking oil, 1 egg, salt & pepper to taste
Heat oil in frying pan and saute mushrooms and garlic until golden brown. Add cooked rice and furikake in pan and mix. Add the egg, salt & pepper and mix thoroughly until eggs are cooked. Spoon into plate and serve.
