By far, this is the best Corn dog recipe I’ve ever found and made.The batter was a little thick, so I added extra milk.
1/2 cup Yellow cornmeal
1/2 cup + 1-3tbsp(it it’s too thick) all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
1/16 tsp pepper
1/8 cup white sugar
1/2 cup milk
oil for frying
5 pieces of hotdogs (cut into 4 bite size pieces each)
Combine all the batter ingredients and mix well. Let it sit and wait for the oil to reach 365°F. Use a small bamboo skewer or toothpick to skewer the bite size hotdogs. Coat them with the batter and fry until lightly browned. Serve with ketchup or mustard.
I wonder if the batter will work with other stuff like shrimp, chicken, or other vegetables…
